A Great Korean revolutionary recalled

COMRADES and friends met at the John Buckle Centre in south London on Saturday to mark the 22nd anniversary of the passing of the Great Leader President Kim Il Sung on 8^th July 1994.  The guest of honour at the seminar, called by the Friends of Korea committee, was Hyon Hak Bong the  ambassador at the embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in London and other speakers included Michael Chant from the RCPB (ML), Dermot Hudson from the Korean Friendship Association and New Communist Party leader Andy Brooks.

             After questions and discussion the meeting ended with a film on Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s four years of victory informal discussion continued over drinks and Korean food. The Co-ordinating Committee of the Friends of Korea brings together all the major movements active in Korean friendship and solidarity work in Britain today. It is chaired by Andy Brooks and the secretary is Michael Chant. The committee organises meetings throughout the year, which are publicised by the supporting movements and on the Friends of Korea website.
